1. General
These terms govern the use of the platform provided by Stichting Vukara, a foundation registered in Amsterdam (KvK: 99988445). By using our services, you agree to these terms. As a non-profit entity, our primary goal is to promote access to resources for successful entrepreneurship and knowledge sharing.
2. Role of the Foundation
- Stichting Vukara provides a platform to connect founders with funding, skills, and networks.
- The foundation acts as a facilitator and is not a party to any separate agreements between founders and backers.
- We do not provide investment advice; the foundation's activities are limited to its statutory goals of empowerment and guidance.
3. Fees and Contributions
To cover the operational costs of maintaining the platform and achieving our non-profit goals, we apply the following structure:
- Commitment Fee: A 1% non-refundable contribution is required to start a campaign to cover administrative costs.
- Success Contribution: If a campaign reaches its goal, a contribution of 7-8% (depending on size) is deducted to support the continuity of the foundation's work.
- Skill-Based Funding: Currently, no fees are charged for skill-based contributions to ensure maximum empowerment.
3.1 Payment Processing & Right of Refusal
- Third-Party Payment Providers: All financial transactions, including commitment fees, success contributions, and donations, are handled exclusively through certified and licensed third-party payment service providers. By initiating a transaction, you agree to the terms and conditions of the relevant payment provider. Stichting Vukara does not store sensitive credit card or full bank account details on its own servers.
- Right to Refuse or Cancel Transactions: In accordance with our statutory goals to promote successful entrepreneurship and knowledge sharing, the Board of Directors reserves the right to:
- Refuse or cancel any campaign, donation, or transaction at its sole discretion.
- Reject participation if a project or individual does not align with the foundation’s mission or values.
- Verify the identity of users to comply with Dutch anti-money laundering (Wwft) and tax regulations.
- Refunds: Given our non-profit status and the immediate allocation of funds toward the foundation's continuity and objectives, contributions such as the 1% commitment fee are generally non-refundable unless otherwise required by Dutch law.
4. Certifications and Skills
- Optional paid certifications are provided as a means of validating achievement and supporting employability.
- These certifications are intended for professional credibility and do not constitute a formal academic degree unless explicitly stated.
5. Liability Limitation
- Stichting Vukara is not liable for the failure of any entrepreneur or startup to achieve specific business results.
- While we provide a platform for knowledge sharing, we do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of information provided by community members.
- The foundation is not responsible for any financial losses incurred by backers.
6. Use of Media and Content
- By uploading content (pitches, images, or stories), you grant the foundation a license to use this material to provide information about our activities and promote our mission.
